Wednesday, President Donald J. Trump quoted commentator Wayne Allyn Root, who called him the “King of the Jews,” sparking furor among the media who had just finished calling him an anti-Semite for saying that Jewish Americans who vote Democrat are disloyal to their faith.
Dr. Sebastian Gorka joined i24News to defend the President amid the media’s faux-outrage.
“Donald Trump is the most pro-Jewish, pro-Israeli president since 1948,” Gorka said.
Of course, 1948 was the year that David Ben-Gurion, the head of the Jewish Agency, established the State of Israel. At the time, President Harry S. Truman unequivocally stated his support for Israel, and the two nations have been allies ever since.
Gorka continued by discussing that Trump’s daughter Ivanka converted to judaism, that her husband, Trump’s most senior advisor Jared Kushner, is an Orthodox Jew, and that Trump’s grandchildren are Jewish. He also noted that Trump was the only president to make good on the promise to move the U.S. Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, after more than 20 years of president’s lying about their intentions to take that step.
“It is shocking that the American-Jewish community is more loyal to a political party – to the Democrat Party – that has embraced anti-Semitism in the likes of Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar, than it is to Israel or to the American-Israeli relationship,” Gorka said.
He also criticized Tlaib and Omar for being “staunch supporters” of the Boycott Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement.
“[Trump is being pro-Semitic,” Gorka said of Trump’s criticisms of Jews voting Democrat. “In what alternate universe – where he’s saying ‘if you support the anti-Semitic part, which is the Democrats, you’re being disloyal to Israel’ – only a moron or a propagandist would say that his comments are anti-Semitic.”
