Vaccination-for-freedom seems to be the new plan for both Israel and the United States. Israel has implemented “green passes” as passports for citizens to rejoin their normal activities, ankle monitors are used to track the unvaccinated’ whereabouts, and more recently, local governments have been granted access to personal information of those not yet inoculated. Those who have not yet received the vaccine are being segregated from the vaccinated population and are not allowed to participate in their normal daily activities. Citizens opposed to such measures are being censored, no one is allowed to speak about what is going on. New York is looking to Israel for recommendations for a “new normal.”
This discussion of a “new normal,” by countries’ leaders and the mainstream media has the world in anguish. After a year of unprecedented mandates by governments to “stay inside,” “wear a mask,” and “socially distance,” citizens have responded with protests to the lockdown. The governments’ response was to hold firmly and enforce their mandates.
In the sole Jewish nation in the world, one would assume the national government would bend over backwards to ensure that measures taken do not resemble Jew-repressing actions from oppressive regimes of old. We all want to return to normal living but forcing people to take a vaccine in exchange for basic freedoms is not the way to do it. Whether one is pro-vaccine or anti-vaccine, one should agree that no one forces anything upon one another. A national government ought not be permitted to dictate where one can and cannot go. The Jewish state is the only democratic country in the Middle East. Restricting and limiting their citizens’ civil liberties renders such a statement false. Israel is becoming the very thing it hates. There is a sense of Jew vs. Jew fighting within the country; those vaccinated and those not.
Jews have historically fought for their freedom of person and worship. They have been forced into ghettos during pogroms, treated as dhimmis in the Muslim world, and intermittently compelled to wear yellow stars. During Hitler’s reign, Jews were once again subject to laws which forced them to wear yellow stars. In 2021, why are the descendants of those resilient communities so willing to fall in line with this sort of Orwellian dictatorship? Never has the nation decided to abridge each others’ freedoms.
Two studies, one from the United States and one from Israel, show that these vaccines can be deadly. The first report, in the Epoch Times, from the United States, shows a detailed account of data acquired by the CDC describing the side effects of the Covid-19 vaccine. These stats show:
“Between Dec. 14 and Feb. 19, 19,769 reports were made to the Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS) following immunizations with either the Moderna or Pfizer BioNTech mRNA vaccines (the only two vaccines given during the time period assessed). At this time, VAERS data is not available after Feb. 19.
The 966 deaths represent 5 percent of the total number of adverse events reports. Of those who died, 86, (8.9 percent) died on the same day they got the shot. An additional 129, (13.4 percent) died within one day. An additional 97 died within 2 days, and 61 within 3 days.
A total of 514 (53.2 percent) died within a week. 173 died within 7-13 days. 106 within 14-20 days.
85 percent of deaths occurred in individuals over 60; below 60 there were five deaths among those aged 20-29; 8 aged 30-39; 20 aged 40-49; and 57 aged 50-59.”
The second study, from Israel, written by Mordechai Sones in Israel National News, shows the findings of data received by those who took the Pfizer vaccine by FranceSoir and Nakim. Both findings say a few poignant things: “There is a mismatch between the data published by the authorities and the reality on the ground,” and out of a sample of 437,841 inoculations, 660 people died. Of the 660 dead, only 546 received the first dose.
Further abridging citizens’ freedoms, the Knesset passed a law permitting the state to share information of those not yet inoculated. According to aYahoo!News article from February:
“Israel’s parliament passed a law Wednesday allowing the government to share the identities of people not vaccinated against the coronavirus with other authorities, raising privacy concerns for those opting out of inoculation.
The measure, which passed with 30-13, gave local governments, the Director General of the Ministry of Education, and several in the Welfare Ministry the right to receive names, addresses, and phone numbers of unvaccinated citizens.
According to the article, the presumed objective of the measure, valid for three months or until the Covid-19 pandemic is declared over, is: “‘to enable these bodies to encourage people to vaccinate by personally addressing them’, a parliament statement said.”
To make matters worse, the world is currently looking to Israel as a path to a “new normal.” New York has begun taking measures to establish its own “green passports.” Where New York goes, other democratic states may follow. Neither Israel nor the United States should take actions that violate human rights in the name of science. A few months back, I wrote an article about Governor Cuomo and the idea of Covid camps. Given the spread of such ideas, would it be too big of a jump to worry if Israel might start such camps?
Not solely Israel appears to support such ideas. America appears to be well on its way. Fast food restaurants, like McDonalds, are incentivizing their employees to take the vaccine by offering them bonuses. As far back as November, Ticketmaster revealed a plan to verify their customers have received vaccines before entering their venues. Facebook has banned users from inquiring about the vaccine’s contents even though its CEO Mark Zuckerberg was caught asking such questions by Project Veritas. Considering that the Biden Administration in the U.S. is far to the left of its predecessor, the question is not ‘if’ civil liberties will fall under attack but rather ‘which’ civil liberties will be next to meet the ax.
