Always has USA kept enslaved by poverty the laboring-class as the 50% working-poor, all because the 50% most educated love to hoard all the land, wealth, political power and healthcare.
And so, why is it that even though Bernie offers the working-poor free healthcare, free college education, double the minimum wage and an end to killer-cop terrorism, still most of the poor will not vote? Because, surely, the poor same as the rich, they all desire to be rich.
“And so, why is it” The short answer is because of an easily observable phenomenon that is not so easy to explain or write about – the intrusion of ad hominem into debate. It is now possible to sway masses of opinion by labeling and the under-educated of America have been taught that “Socialism” is synonymous with the bureaucratic nightmare that the worst of the communist states degenerated into. Thus it is only necessary to accuse a political opponent of “being” in order to end debate. Being a racist, an antisemite, a socialist, a hater etc etc. Sadly, the majority… Read more »

Sadly, the majority are incapable of discerning the huge fallacy involved.”
Pejoratives. Aren’t they wonderful? Just create a word that the masses respond to like one of Pavlov’s dogs to a stimulus and you have a powerful propaganda and brainwashing tool.
Perhaps we should call people who use pejoratives this way a ‘pejorativist” and turn their own tool against them.
Freedom of speech is the freedom to be heard, an impossible thing for the ;lower-half of society, the 50% working-poor, so long as the 25% most wealthy own all of mainstream media.
And so, if Tucker Carlson, Julian Assange, Roger Waters and this show are so greate at protecting freedom of speach, why is it that not one of them has ever said a word about their more intelligent upper-half of society hoarding all the land, wealth, political power and freedom of speech?

As has been said. Don’t tell me about freedom of speech. Tell me who owns the media.
I guess the Magnitsky act doesn’t apply in Julian Assanges case …
Why is there such a deafening silence from Australia – where Assange is from? The US is a cowardly nation, always picking on a smaller nation or on a smaller person. It seems to me that ALL of Europe has kept the UN Rapporteur Melzer findings under wrap. ALL guilty of collusion. How despicable.
Imagine if Julian Assange were a US citizen subjected to inhumane treatment in a high security Australian prison and this so-called trial in an Australia court, and being under threat of extradition to the UK where he would be facing 175 years of imprisonment. Can you imagine such a deafening silence coming from the US? The US won’t even allow a US citizen to return to Britain for questioning after she ran down and killed a young British man when she was driving on the wrong side of the road in the UK.
Good on Tucker and also good on you two, Alex and Alexander, for continuing to remind us of this total travesty of justice. My faith in the British legal system has not totally collapsed – YET – and I still hope that the Appeal Court and/or Supreme Court will throw this out. They are hopefully less corruptible or malleable than legal whores like Barraitser and Arbuthnot. We will see (I have less confidence in the Law Lords than the Lord Justices). However, I do fear that our out of control spooks will manage to kill off Julian in prison in… Read more »
