The who’s who of radical Islamists is celebrating after 26 Muslim candidates won various elections nationwide in November, bringing this year’s total to 34. That figure is attributed to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) itself listed as a terror organization in the United Arab Emirates.
“These electoral victories clearly indicate that American Muslims are stepping up and showing their commitment to public service,” CAIR’s National Executive Director Nihad Awad said. “We congratulate these Muslim trailblazers who are creating a more inclusive democracy for everyone.”
A local CAIR director in Maryland celebrated, too.
“This historic victory is the culmination of a decades-long battle by local leaders to seek equal recognition for the county’s thousands of Muslim children,” CAIR Director of Maryland Outreach Zainab Chaudry reportedly told AboutIslam.net. “It sends a message to Muslim students and parents that school officials are paying attention to their needs. That they are valued, seen and heard.”
America’s favorite anti-Semite and terrorist sympathizer Linda Sarsour, who was recently booted off the board of the Women’s March for her Jew hatred weighed in on the recent elections.
“What do Muslim Americans do during a time of heightened Islamophobia under a xenophobic administration? We run for office and win,” she reportedly said. “Muslim Americans are engaging in the democratic process in unprecedented ways and we can’t wait to continue this wave in 2020 to save our democracy.”
Sarsour is known for her support of Brooklyn Imam Siraj Wahhaj, an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombings. At the 54th annual Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) Convention in Chicago, Sarsour said the following of Siraj:
And to my favorite person in this room, that’s mutual, is Imam Siraj Wahhaj, who has been a mentor, motivator, and encourager of mine. Someone who has taught me to speak truth to power, and not worry about the consequences. Someone who has taught me that we are on this Earth to please Allah and only Allah, and that we are not here to please any man or woman on this earth.” Sarsour said. “So I am grateful to you Imam Siraj, and you might think this is weird, but every once in a while, when I get into that deep dark place, Imam Siraj comes and talks to me. And he helps me to emerge out of those places, so I’m grateful to you Imam Siraj, and may Allah bless you and protect you for a long time for our community, because we need you now more than ever.
Wahhaj was also connected through his son, who bears the same name, to jihadi training camps uncovered in New Mexico on which one boy died, and another in rural Alabama. The younger Wahhaj is accused of plotting terror attacks against the United States government.
CAIR has said that its goal is to get 30 Muslims elected to Congress.
Let’s hope, as Americans, that the Muslims elected to public office around the country aren’t nearly as radical as the ones promoted by the media and in the mainstream, including Sarsour and the Council on American-Islamic Relations.
